Some Brush Pen fun :D

I finally purchased brush pens, one in silver and the other in black ink.
And ...well, I guess I need to get used to it XD

and after so long, a painting

Wow, apologies. Totally MIA-ed for a while there

Here's something I did in school. Please note that I'm still very very new to oil painting
and I still haven't yet figured out a way to mix a color that I want (I'm very picky)

3 different lightings. Light to Dark.

早乙女太一☓チームラボ [吉例]新春特別公演「龍と牡丹」-剣舞/影絵-

ooohhh

This is what my friend showed me. The animation of the "shadow"
versus the timing and accuracy of a human.

Rather cool. Too bad it wasn't interactive. :D

I wonder if future animations could incorporate something like that?

This be a book cover I did for one of my modules, "Nature in Art"
It's conducted by Lucy Davis, and she requires everyone to have a journal that encompasses all our thoughts, homework and random stuff you just need to tell her.

Thing is, I was working with this really old hardcover notebook that I thought I should revamp, at least.
And I dug out all my cloth materials (since I sew) and matched around.
See? Even the unused furry edges of the material can be used. (Cause' technically we're not supposed to use the edge) and ...no, I didn't use the machine or any hand-sewing...

I USED TAPE. DOUBLE SIDED STICKY TAPE AND CLOTH TAPE.

oooohhh I just hope it works. and HOLDS.

for this whole semester.

But it's really fun making this. Elastic deco band I actually found in one of the bags, so I just threw it in for security.

Rough paintings, sketching

After staring at that wall for what seems like eternity,
I finally took up a brush and my giant jar of acrylic black paint,
set aside a small glass bottle of wet tissue

and I started ... messing around

i haven't touched a brush in a really long while, for wet paintings.
i'm currently doing oil painting sessions in school, so much so I started off
really really thick... and dry -_-

....and then...

...I tried using my left hand to paint (there were other right hand paintings but...
lemme just say they are too random to post up here) and I felt that, maybe
left hand should be reserved for drawing only, like here:

(I find that I draw better with my left hand, even previous art instructors told me so.)
AND yes, I'm a RIGHT-hander.

Finally,
1st character design for my project!
Keeping her relatively simple, so that I can work more concepts into it.
I'm working on a short animation film that involves a main character finding
a salvation from her current dismal life.
it's really interesting to do a character with paint and nothing else.
there's so much freedom involved.
I'm starting to appreciate art that's OUTSIDE manga and anime influences.

Let's hope more will come out of this.

Oh! I hope that wasn't too bleak XD

Something Inspirational 1st~

Haste, haste!!
Here's a wall of inspiration that I quickly put together;
Hans (Bacher) is right - Kids are the best to look at, both in their behavior and the stuff they create:

very very interestingggg ^^

Bubbly Good Time

As a welcoming message,

I'll open my art blog with a piece of traditional art that I did for my installation project back in my 1st year.
This is done with acrylic paint (brighter colors) and concentrated dishwashing liquid. And a straw, let's not forget that.
I do enjoy blowing bubbles. Everyone should experience it for themselves too. :D

Let Art be felt all over the world!
